Control Journal BabyStep 3!!

Dear Friends,

Your next page in your Control Journal is your morning routine. We are going to keep this very simple. You can look at my example routine if you want to see what I do in the morning and where we are going with this, but you are not supposed to do a full blown routine on your first day. YOU ARE NOT SUPERWOMAN!

Take it slow and easy and you will find more success and "crash and burn" will be a thing of the past.

Now get another sheet of paper! Do not let your perfectionism take over! You don't need a printer or magic markers. We are using a pencil to get this started.

At the top of the page write Morning Routine in big letters.

Number the sheet of paper 1-11; just cause I like the number 11. Leave some space between the numbers. Just use one sheet.

1. Get out of bed and hit the ground FLYing!

2. Make the bed.

3. Get dressed to shoes: Shower, fix hair and moisture or make-up

4. While in bathroom; Swish the toilet and wipe down the counters and put things away. Swish and Swipe is what I call it.

5. Empty the dishwasher

6. Check Calendar for appointments

Now put this sheet on the back side of the Before Bed Routine in the sheet protector. If you don't have sheet protectors yet; then just keep it behind the before bed routine.

This is the section you are going to label: DAILY ROUTINES.

This can be a tab on the sheet protector, a sheet of paper or a divider. Don't get picky about this. It will all come together.

As for those of you that have purchased our Control Journal Worksheets then get started with the Morning Routine. If you already have a Control Journal I want you to look at your morning routine to see if there is a new step you can add or an old one that you have moved to another routine. Pencil it in. Then take out some of my essays you have printed and put in your Control Journal. If you want to you can put them in another binder for now.

If you are still hung up on your perfectionism then do what I did for several months. I put post-it notes in my bathroom to remind me of these steps while I was in there. It is not about looking pretty it is about developing a routine that will work for you not look good on the counter. Once I leave the bathroom; I will forget to do it. Also put a note in there to remind you to look at your calendar and Control Journal.
