Favorite Items for the Baby!

Dear Friends,

I have received quite a few emails about what Baby Items I love and deem necessary to new moms everywhere. I am really picky about these items because the amount if clutter that you can accumulate in this category is amazing. Here is a list of the things that I absolutely could not live without.

Baby Bottles:

Everyone here at Flylady supports and knows that breast feeding is ultimately the best thing possible for your baby. If you are unable to breast feed as I was, you have to have supplies that work for you and the baby. Our little Kamryn had colic and stomach issues that were exhausting for her and me. Tom did some research and suggested we try these bottles. Our lives changed overnight. I would become a company spokesperson for this company if I could. I use a mesh bag for the nipples, vent tubes and ring - toss in the top rack of the dishwasher and place the bottles on the top rack of the dishwasher. Amazingly easy.

Pacifiers:

Everyone has an opinion of pacifiers. I personally used them with my previous children and found that Kamryn loves hers. I promise you that they do give them up. My older kids are 16 and 17 and are not still using theirs! LOL!

Feeding Pillow:

OH! I wish I would have one of these with my first two kids. This pillow is amazing to use for yourself to use while you are pregnant, then to use to help you after the baby to feed. Especially while recovering from a c-section. There are many covers to choose from to customize your Boppy to you.

Bunting:

OK - so I can not think of very many tasks that are worse than trying to get a tiny baby into a winter coat or bunting and then try to get them strapped into a car seat! Ai Yi Yi! I found this and was more than thrilled! These come in varying weights that would work depending on what type of weather area that you live in. I would never live without this and will always give these as baby gifts from now on.

Toys:

This mirror entertains Kamryn and makes her smile! I love watching her!

Blankets:

I have always had a fear of blankets and babies suffocating - when I saw this I was hooked! I use a plain cotton zip up the front sleeper underneath this. Baby stays warm and I am so much happier and less afraid! This is a must have! I bought a few of them so I could be using them and washing them.

Books:

Oh my goodness! I love books of all kinds so of course I have a couple of favorites when it comes to books on babies.

This particular one is my hands down favorite:

This is a classic:
